John Milligan

John and his wife, Janice, moved to Wilmington in 2006 from Quincy, Illinois, where John was the Director of Public Radio station WQUB. While working on digital conversion and community outreach at WQUB, he also took on the role of Assistant Professor of Voice and Director of Choral Music at Quincy University.

For many years, John enjoyed a full-time career in opera and theater performing on many of the world's major stages including the U.S., Europe, Australia and John’s native New Zealand.

On the business front, John has had many years of success at management and executive levels including working as a senior executive with IBM. He has also served as a consultant and lecturer to business executives internationally.

In addition, John is a published author and poet. John's dual interest and aptitude in art and business serve WHQR well.
